We are very proud to have produced the original Shipping Forecast print – it is widely admired and copied. A list of the sea areas broadcast daily on BBC Radio; the original was printed from vintage wood type in four sheets, which, when laid end to end makes up a fisherman's fathom. Clever! When we exhibited it in the spectacular Reverting to Type letterpress exhibition in London in 2010 curated by our good letterpress friends New North Press, the first edition immediately sold out. Since then we have reprinted two new editions: The Padstow edition for Rick Stein's The Seafood and a grey/black version Finisterre for Pentreath & Hall in Bloomsbury.

Consisting of four separate sheets of 100% cotton paper hand-printed by vintage letterpress using original wooden type blocks dating from the 1940’s. Laid end on end they can make up a frame approximately 2.1m long – a fisherman’s fathom. Supplied in presentation box. Latest edition printed in a limited edition of 25 for the Stein's The Seafood Restaurant, Padstow. Signed and numbered.
